Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pre-made pizza crust
  • 1 cup refried beans
  • 1 cup taco sauce
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cooked ground beef or turkey
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • ½ cup sliced black olives
  • ½ cup diced red onion
  • 1 avocado, diced
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Optional: jalapeños, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Follow package instructions for pre-baking the pizza crust if using store-bought. If homemade, roll out on a floured surface and transfer to a pizza stone or lined baking sheet.
  3. Evenly spread the refried beans over the pizza crust.
  4. Pour and spread the taco sauce over the refried beans.
  5. Add 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the taco sauce.
  6. Distribute the cooked ground beef or turkey evenly over the cheese.
  7. Sprinkle another ½ cup of shredded cheddar cheese on top of the meat.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  9. Dice the tomatoes, shred the lettuce, slice the black olives, and dice the red onion. Slice jalapeños if using.
  10. Dice the avocado and set aside, optionally sprinkling with lime juice to prevent browning.
  11. Let the pizza cool for a couple of minutes after baking.
  12. Sprinkle diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, sliced black olives, diced red onion, and avocado over the pizza.
  13. Drizzle sour cream over the top.
  14. Sprinkle chopped cilantro and add jalapeños if desired.
  15. Cut into wedges, typically 8 slices.
  16. Enjoy fresh with extra taco sauce or salsa on the side.
