Description
A refreshing and vibrant Strawberry Lemonade Spritzer, perfect for summer parties or a delightful everyday treat. Made with homemade strawberry puree and a balanced lemonade base, topped with sparkling water and garnished with fresh fruit.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound fresh strawberries, hulled
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice, freshly squeezed
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup lemon juice, freshly squeezed (about 6–8 lemons)
- Sparkling water or club soda, chilled
- Ice cubes
- Fresh strawberries, sliced (for garnish)
- Lemon slices (for garnish)
- Fresh mint sprigs (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Strawberry Puree: Rinse strawberries, hull them, and combine them in a blender or food processor with sugar and lemon juice. Blend until smooth. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve for an extra smooth puree (optional). Chill for at least 30 minutes.
- Make the Lemonade Base: In a saucepan, combine sugar and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Let cool completely. Juice lemons to get 1 cup of fresh juice. Combine cooled simple syrup and lemon juice in a pitcher. Adjust sweetness to taste. Chill for at least 30 minutes.
- Assemble the Spritzer: Fill glasses with ice. Add 2-3 tablespoons of strawberry puree to each glass. Pour lemonade base over the puree, filling the glass about halfway. Top with chilled sparkling water or club soda. Stir gently to combine.
- Garnish and Serve: Garnish with fresh strawberry slices, lemon slices, and mint sprigs (if using). Serve immediately.
