Description

Enjoy a refreshing Strawberry Cool Whip Dessert with a creamy cream cheese layer and fresh strawberries, all on a buttery graham cracker crust. This no-bake treat is easy to make and perfect for any occasion!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 container (8 oz) Cool Whip, thawed
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Extra strawberries for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Mix until the crumbs are fully coated and resemble wet sand.
  3. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish, ensuring an even layer.
  4. Bake for 8-10 minutes until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let cool completely.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy (about 2-3 minutes).
  6. Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing well after each addition to avoid lumps.
  7. Add the vanilla extract and mix until combined.
  8. Gently fold in the thawed Cool Whip with a spatula until just combined and smooth.
  9. Rinse the strawberries under cold water and pat dry.
  10. Hull and slice the strawberries, setting aside 1/2 cup for garnish.
  11. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled graham cracker crust.
  12. Layer the sliced strawberries over the cream cheese mixture, arranging them as desired.
  13. Sprinkle any reserved strawberries on top for garnish.
  14. Cover the dessert with plastic wrap or aluminum foil and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
  15. After chilling, optionally add a dollop of Cool Whip on top and garnish with reserved strawberries.
  16. Cut into squares using a sharp knife (dipping the knife in warm water helps for clean cuts).
  17. Serve on plates and enjoy this creamy, fruity delight! Store leftovers tightly covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Notes

  • For a chocolate twist, consider adding a layer of chocolate pudding between the cream cheese layer and the strawberries.
  • Feel free to substitute strawberries with other fruits like blueberries, raspberries, or peaches.
