Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar using an electric mixer on medium speed for about 2-3 minutes until light and fluffy.
  2. Add in the vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just combined.
  5. Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips using a spatula or wooden spoon.
  6. Gently fold the caramel sauce into the cookie dough, creating swirls for pockets of caramel in every bite.
  7. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the dough for at least 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  9. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
