Description
A classic tropical cocktail with dark and light rum, pineapple and orange juice, grenadine, and bitters. Garnished with fruit for a refreshing drink.

- 1 ½ ounces dark rum
- 1 ounce light rum
- ½ ounce grenadine
- 4 ounces pineapple juice
- 1 ounce orange juice
- ½ ounce lime juice, freshly squeezed
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- Orange slice, for garnish
- Maraschino cherry, for garnish
- Pineapple wedge, for garnish (optional)
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- Gather Ingredients: Measure all ingredients and have them ready.
- Combine Rums: In a shaker or mixing glass, pour in the dark rum and light rum.
- Add Grenadine: Add the grenadine to the shaker.
- Pour in Juices: Add the pineapple juice, orange juice, and freshly squeezed lime juice.
- Add Bitters: Add the Angostura bitters.
- Add Ice: Fill the shaker with ice cubes.
- Shake Well: Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds.
- Prepare Glass: Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
- Strain Cocktail: Strain the cocktail into the prepared glass.
- Garnish: Garnish with an orange slice, maraschino cherry, and pineapple wedge (optional).
- Serve and Enjoy: Serve immediately.
Notes
- Freshly squeezed lime juice is highly recommended.
- Adjust sweetness by reducing grenadine or adding club soda.
- Experiment with different rums (spiced, aged).
- Add a splash of club soda for a lighter drink.
- To make a pitcher, multiply ingredients and chill before serving.
