A soothing and aromatic lavender latte made with infused milk, strong coffee, and a touch of sweetness. Perfect for a relaxing treat any time of day.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy, oat milk recommended)
- 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee or 2 shots of espresso
- 1 tablespoon culinary lavender buds
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of sea salt
- Optional: Whipped cream or frothed milk for topping

Instructions
- Infuse the Lavender: In a small saucepan, heat milk over medium heat until simmering. Add lavender buds, stir gently, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Strain the Milk: Remove from heat and strain the infused milk through a fine-mesh sieve (lined with cheesecloth if available) into a heatproof bowl or measuring cup. Discard the lavender buds.
- Prepare the Coffee: Brew a strong cup of coffee or pull two shots of espresso.
- Combine Ingredients: Pour the infused lavender milk into a mug. Add the brewed coffee or espresso and stir gently.
- Sweeten: Add honey or maple syrup, starting with one tablespoon, and stir until dissolved. Taste and adjust sweetness as needed.
- Add Vanilla and Salt: Stir in vanilla extract and a pinch of sea salt.
- Froth (Optional): Top with frothed milk or whipped cream.
- Garnish (Optional): Garnish with dried lavender sprigs.
- Enjoy!
Notes
- Use culinary-grade lavender for the best and safest results.
- Adjust the lavender infusion time to your preference for a stronger or milder flavor.
- Experiment with different milk alternatives and sweeteners.
- For an iced latte, chill the infused milk and coffee before combining and serving over ice.
- If latte is too bitter, use milder coffee or less lavender. If too soapy, discard and start over with less culinary lavender.
