  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

This Creamy Lemonade offers a refreshing blend of zesty lemon and rich whipped cream, perfect for summer gatherings. It’s a delightful, tangy drink that’s sure to please any crowd!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 46 lemons)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 cups cold water
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh lemon slices, for garnish
  • Mint leaves, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Roll the lemons on the countertop with your palm to release the juices. Cut them in half and juice them using a citrus juicer or a handheld juicer to yield about 1 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice.
  2. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the lemon juice and granulated sugar. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. If needed, add a splash of warm water to help dissolve the sugar faster.
  3. Pour in 4 cups of cold water and mix until well combined. Taste the lemonade base and adjust sweetness or tartness as desired.
  4. In a separate mixing bowl, pour in 1 cup of heavy cream. Whip the cream using a hand mixer or whisk until soft peaks form, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Gently fold in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract into the whipped cream.
  6. Slowly fold the lemonade base into the whipped cream in batches, ensuring to maintain the light and airy texture.
  7. Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
  8. Pour the creamy lemonade mixture over the ice, filling the glass about three-quarters full.
  9. Garnish with a slice of fresh lemon on the rim and, if desired, a sprig of mint.
  10. Give the drink a gentle stir to mix in the ice and creamy lemonade before serving.

Notes

  • For a rustic touch, serve in mason jars.
  • Pair with light snacks like cucumber sandwiches or fresh fruit skewers.
  • Add flavored syrup (like raspberry or lavender) for a fun twist.
  • Top with a dollop of whipped cream for extra indulgence.
