Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 cups cold water
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Ice cubes
- Fresh lemon slices, for garnish
- Mint leaves, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Roll the lemons on the countertop with your palm to release the juices. Cut them in half and juice them using a citrus juicer or a handheld juicer to yield about 1 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice.
- In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the lemon juice and granulated sugar. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. If needed, add a splash of warm water to help dissolve the sugar faster.
- Pour in 4 cups of cold water and mix until well combined. Taste the lemonade base and adjust sweetness or tartness as desired.
- In a separate mixing bowl, pour in 1 cup of heavy cream. Whip the cream using a hand mixer or whisk until soft peaks form, about 2-3 minutes.
- Gently fold in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract into the whipped cream.
- Slowly fold the lemonade base into the whipped cream in batches, ensuring to maintain the light and airy texture.
- Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
- Pour the creamy lemonade mixture over the ice, filling the glass about three-quarters full.
- Garnish with a slice of fresh lemon on the rim and, if desired, a sprig of mint.
- Give the drink a gentle stir to mix in the ice and creamy lemonade before serving.
