Cookie Monster Fluff: A Deliciously Fun Dessert Recipe

  • Total Time: 135 minutes
  • Yield: 8-10 servings 1x

Description

Easy, no-bake dessert that’s a Cookie Monster dream! Creamy, fluffy, and loaded with chopped Oreos and vibrant blue color.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (13 ounce) package of Oreo cookies, roughly chopped (reserve some for topping!)
  • 1 (8 ounce) package of cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (14 ounce) can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 (8 ounce) container of whipped topping, thawed (like Cool Whip)
  • 1 (3.4 ounce) package of instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 ½ cups of milk
  • Blue food coloring (gel is preferred for a richer color)
  • Optional: Mini chocolate chips for extra fun!
  • Optional: Edible candy eyes for a true Cookie Monster look!

Instructions

  1. Roughly chop the Oreo cookies. Use a large knife and a cutting board or pulse them in a food processor, being careful not to over-process them into crumbs. Aim for pieces that are about ¼ to ½ inch in size. Remember to reserve some of the chopped cookies for topping.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Use an electric mixer (handheld or stand mixer) for the best results.
  3. Gradually add the sweetened condensed milk to the cream cheese, mixing until well combined. Mix on low speed to prevent splattering.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and milk until smooth. Whisk vigorously for about 2 minutes until the mixture starts to thicken slightly.
  5. Add the pudding mixture to the cream cheese mixture and mix until well combined. Gently fold the pudding mixture into the cream cheese mixture. Be careful not to overmix.
  6. Gently fold in the whipped topping. Use a spatula and fold from the bottom up, turning the bowl as you go.
  7. Add the blue food coloring. Start with a few drops of blue gel food coloring and mix well. Add more coloring, a drop at a time, until you reach your desired shade of Cookie Monster blue.
  8. Gently fold in the chopped Oreo cookies. Be careful not to overmix.
  9. Optional: Fold in mini chocolate chips.
  10. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight.
  11. Before serving, give the fluff a gentle stir.
  12. Spoon the Cookie Monster Fluff into individual serving dishes or a large serving bowl.
  13. Top with the reserved chopped Oreo cookies.
  14. Optional: Add edible candy eyes for a fun Cookie Monster look!
  15. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use full-fat cream cheese.
  • If you don’t have instant vanilla pudding mix, you can use instant cheesecake pudding mix for a slightly different flavor.
  • You can substitute the whipped topping with homemade whipped cream, but be aware that it may not hold its shape as well.
  • For a less sweet version, use reduced-fat cream cheese and sugar-free pudding mix.
  • Add other mix-ins, such as chopped peanut butter cups, M&Ms, or sprinkles.
  • Make it a layered dessert by alternating layers of fluff and crushed Oreos in a trifle dish.
  • For a festive twist, use red and green food coloring for a Christmas-themed fluff.
  • Leftover Cookie Monster Fluff can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. However, it’s best enjoyed fresh, as the cookies may soften over time.
