- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 1–2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)
- Extra cinnamon and sugar for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and granulated sugar.
- In another bowl, whisk melted butter, egg, milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and gently fold together until just combined.
- Grease the donut pan with non-stick spray or butter.
- Fill each donut cavity about 2/3 full with batter using a piping bag or zip-top bag.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the donuts cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, 1-2 tablespoons of milk, and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract until smooth.
- Mix equal parts granulated sugar and ground cinnamon in a small bowl for topping.
- Dip the top of each cooled donut into the glaze, allowing excess to drip off. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar if desired.
- Place glazed donuts on a wire rack for 10-15 minutes to set the glaze.
- Enjoy fresh or store in an airtight container for up to 2 days.

- Avoid overmixing the batter to ensure light and fluffy donuts.
