Description

Enjoy a creamy Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie that’s perfect for breakfast or a snack. This rich blend of ripe bananas, cocoa, and peanut butter offers a deliciously satisfying treat to fuel your day!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ripe banana, frozen
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons natural peanut butter
  • 1 cup almond milk (or any milk of your choice)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt (optional, for creaminess)
  • Ice cubes (optional, for a thicker texture)
  • Chopped peanuts or chocolate shavings for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Gather all your ingredients: Lay everything out on the counter for easy access.
  2. Prepare the banana: If using a fresh banana, peel and slice it into chunks. If using a frozen banana, skip this step.
  3. Measure out the cocoa powder: Use unsweetened cocoa powder for a rich flavor.
  4. Scoop the peanut butter: Use natural peanut butter for the best taste; warm slightly if too thick.
  5. Get your milk ready: Measure out 1 cup of almond milk or your preferred milk.
  6. Optional ingredients: Measure honey or maple syrup for sweetness and scoop out 1/4 cup of Greek yogurt if using.
  7. Add the ingredients to the blender: Start with almond milk, then add banana, cocoa powder, peanut butter, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and Greek yogurt.
  8. Blend on high: Blend for about 30 seconds until smooth. Add more milk if too thick.
  9. Check the consistency: Adjust thickness by adding ice cubes for a thicker smoothie or more milk if too thick.
  10. Taste and adjust: Sweeten with more honey or maple syrup if desired, or add more cocoa for a stronger flavor.
  11. Pour into glasses: Serve in clear glasses to showcase the beautiful chocolate color.
  12. Garnish (optional): Top with chopped peanuts or chocolate shavings for added crunch.
  13. Enjoy immediately: Best served fresh, enjoy with a straw or spoon!
