- 1 green apple (optional, for sweetness)
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
- 1 teaspoon of ginger (fresh, grated)
- 1 cup of water (or more, depending on desired consistency)
- Ice cubes (optional, for serving)
- Mint leaves (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Thoroughly wash the celery stalks and cucumber under cold running water. Use a vegetable brush for the cucumber to ensure its clean.
- Chop the celery into smaller pieces, about 2-3 inches long.
- Cut the cucumber in half lengthwise and slice it into smaller chunks. Peel if desired.
- If using, core the green apple and cut it into quarters. Leave the skin on for extra fiber.
- Grate a small piece of fresh ginger using a microplane or fine grater.
- Gather all prepared ingredients. If using a blender, have a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth ready for straining.
- Feed the chopped celery, cucumber, apple, and grated ginger into the juicer, starting with softer ingredients.
- Add the chopped ingredients into the blender jar, pour in 1 cup of water, and blend on high speed until smooth.
- Place a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth over a bowl or pitcher. Pour the blended mixture into the strainer and press down to extract juice.
- Stir in 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice.
- Taste the juice and adjust sweetness or thickness as desired.
- Chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes or serve immediately over ice cubes.
- Garnish with mint leaves for added aroma and color.
- Pour into glasses and enjoy immediately for the best flavor and nutritional benefits.
