Description

This refreshing Celery Cucumber Juice combines crisp celery, cool cucumber, and a touch of green apple sweetness, making it a nutritious drink perfect for hot days. Enhanced with lemon juice and ginger, it’s packed with vitamins and minerals, ideal for a revitalizing boost. Enjoy chilled or over ice for a delightful, healthy treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 stalks of fresh celery
  • 1 medium cucumber
  • 1 green apple (optional, for sweetness)
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1 teaspoon of ginger (fresh, grated)
  • 1 cup of water (or more, depending on desired consistency)
  • Ice cubes (optional, for serving)
  • Mint leaves (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Thoroughly wash the celery stalks and cucumber under cold running water. Use a vegetable brush for the cucumber to ensure it’s clean.
  2. Chop the celery into smaller pieces, about 2-3 inches long.
  3. Cut the cucumber in half lengthwise and slice it into smaller chunks. Peel if desired.
  4. If using, core the green apple and cut it into quarters. Leave the skin on for extra fiber.
  5. Grate a small piece of fresh ginger using a microplane or fine grater.
  6. Gather all prepared ingredients. If using a blender, have a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth ready for straining.
  7. Feed the chopped celery, cucumber, apple, and grated ginger into the juicer, starting with softer ingredients.
  8. Add the chopped ingredients into the blender jar, pour in 1 cup of water, and blend on high speed until smooth.
  9. Place a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth over a bowl or pitcher. Pour the blended mixture into the strainer and press down to extract juice.
  10. Stir in 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice.
  11. Taste the juice and adjust sweetness or thickness as desired.
  12. Chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes or serve immediately over ice cubes.
  13. Garnish with mint leaves for added aroma and color.
  14. Pour into glasses and enjoy immediately for the best flavor and nutritional benefits.
